Ross D. Seymour
Marine Corps veteran, working actor and filmmaker, stunt performer, and Old West cowboy action shooter — bringing the set and the range together.
From the Saddle to the Set
Ross D. Seymour is a SAG actor and filmmaker who wrote, produced, directed, and stars in the feature Western Outlaw Shadows. He has worked in film and television stunts, giving him first-hand perspective on what actors and stunt performers need from the armorer when firearms are part of a scene.
Ross is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He is also an active cowboy action shooter with the Single Action Shooting Society (SASS), where he is known by his alias “Majyk,” and he leads Gunslingers-R-Us, an Old West living-history reenactment group based in Cedar City, in southern Utah.
Ross created Hollywood Armorer to help meet the industry’s need for trained set armorers, with an emphasis on discipline, communication, and a culture where safety comes before the shot.
